Wine not?

Not all creative sees the light of day
(Even if it's lovely)

this is a suite of wine labels i conceptualized, crafted copy, and designed (that is slaying in an alternate universe). part of agency life is knowing that 95% of creative will never see the light of day regardless of it's fabulousness. so let's shake off the digital dust and write some poetry!

I wrapped this wine brand around the idea of walking a customer through a series of prose, demonstrated by virtue of a literary guide. We start with a prologue, followed by an interlude, and finally an epilogue--all with a narrative that frames the story and the varietal of the grape. This could have easily expanded into other varietals, such as "soliloquy" (Pinot Noir?) or "preface" (red blend?).

i. prologue

nothing is too complex or deep or rich or delicious to enjoy, to appreciate, to share... this body of work seeks not to be understood but rather to be of the moment and in a wine glass

ii. interlude

against all odds, the protaginist (to be clear--grapes) establish their narrative from humble origins to their destiny to become something bigger and better than themselves... wine

iii. epilogue

the promise of a field of grapes, the prowess of shade and sun... the abundance of morning’s warmth, the embrace of evening’s chill... a tapestry of this bottle’s contents

What I love most about creating customer experiences is giving the audience a window into the soul of the brand. Wine (and food) provides an amazing opportunity to connect on an emotional and visceral level. Whether I am in Spain, France, Portugal, the Willamette Valley, Sonoma... I can always feel tethered to something tangible. Something grounded. The world is thirsty to connect offline.
